On Thursday, August 27, golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and friends of Birthday Wishes gathered at Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth for the 2026 Putt for Presents Charity Golf Tournament, raising more than $122,000 to support children and families experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

The day included a scramble-style tournament, on-course contests, a $30,000 Hole-in-One Challenge, and a silent auction that raised more than $15,000. Thanks to the generosity of our participants and sponsors, the funds raised will help Birthday Wishes provide meaningful birthday celebrations for more than 1,000 children.

“Every child deserves to feel celebrated and supported, even when their family is going through a difficult time,” said Denell Nuese, Executive Director of Birthday Wishes. “Birthdays are an important part of that, but so are the many milestones and moments that help children feel seen, valued, and connected. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made this year’s Putt for Presents such a success.”

A special thank-you to Birthday Wishes Board Chair Michael Albert, who founded this fundraiser; Tournament Director Patrick Flaherty; hosts Nick Warren, Rob Boucini, Steve Shaw, Michael Mullaney, and Michael Albert; and committee members Chuck Labbee, James Steinberg, Todd Smith, Andrew Barbieri, Michael Feeney, and Matt Palmer for the time, energy, and enthusiasm they put into making this year’s tournament possible.

And to our sponsors, golfers, auction donors and bidders, volunteers, and everyone who supported Putt for Presents: thank you. Your generosity will continue well beyond the golf course, helping children feel celebrated and giving caregivers the resources to create joyful, meaningful moments with their families.

Thank You to Our Sponsors
