Birthday Wishes Student Ambassador Programs
Empathy in Action.
Leadership in Motion.
Real Impact.
The Birthday Wishes Student Ambassador Program empowers students from preschool through college to grow as compassionate leaders while supporting our mission: bringing birthday joy to children experiencing homelessness.
Through age-appropriate service, awareness-building, and family-supported fundraising, Student Ambassadors learn what it means to create change in their communities. Along the way, they develop empathy, leadership skills, and a deeper understanding of how kindness and advocacy can make a real difference — one birthday at a time.
Pre-K to Grade 5: Kindness Crew
Our youngest leaders begin their journey in giving.
The Kindness Crew engages early learners through simple, joyful acts of kindness — like decorating birthday cards or completing kindness challenges at home. Families help students set up personal fundraising pages to support a child’s birthday.
What Students Learn:
• How to show empathy and care for others
• Ways to contribute to their community
• The joy of giving and helping others feel included
• Basic goal-setting through kindness-based projects
Grades 6-8: Celebration Squad
Emerging leaders. Expanding impact.
Middle school ambassadors lead awareness efforts, create digital kindness campaigns, and fundraise to support Birthday Wishes — all with guidance from home. This level encourages deeper engagement with community needs and social responsibility.
What Students Learn:
• How to communicate about a cause and inspire others
• Deeper understanding of youth homelessness and inequality
• Planning and leadership through student-led projects
• Personal responsibility through self-directed fundraising
