Making an In-kind Donation to Birthday Wishes
Although each party we hold is unique, there are some items that we can never get enough of! If you are interested in making a donation of goods, please review the list and guidelines below.
Wish List
- Gifts for children (boy or girl): New, unused books and toys for children ages 1-19 which are appropriate for children who may not necessarily have access to a computer, yard, bathtub, oven or window/sills of their own. If a gift requires batteries, please consider including the appropriate type with your gift. Gift cards to Old Navy, the Gap, Target and Footlocker are appreciated for teenagers.
- Toys for children ages 1-3
- Handmade birthday cards
- Stop & Shop Gift cards - $20 value
- Target Gift cards - $35 value
- Juice boxes
- Party supplies: Birthday themed gift-wrap, paper plates & napkins, party hats, noisemakers and indoor decorations. We do not use cups or straws because we serve juice boxes at our parties.
- Themed party supplies (a favorite TV or storybook character theme)
- Monetary donations
- Large Gift Bags
- Pull-string piñatas: this is a favorite party activity, but we may only use the pull-string type at our shelters.
- Goodie bags and Arts & Crafts projects: we use several hundred of each per month, and this is a great project for a group. Please contact Rachel Freeman for more information.
Please note that we cannot accept:
- Used toys, books or stuffed animals (even lightly-used)
- Candy
- Goody bag items that present a choking hazard to children under 3
- Clothing, toiletries, etc. for adults
- Any party supplies that are not in unopened, original packaging
