Goody Bag Stuffing Guidelines

If you would like to gather a group for a goody bag stuffing project, we thank you! It's very easy, not too expensive, and can be a fun few hours for a volunteer group. Birthday Wishes uses several hundred goody bags each month. It’s this easy:

Decide how many volunteers will work on the project.

Decide how much money each person is willing to contribute for the project. This will help you determine how many goody bags you can make. Usually, people are willing to donate $10, $20 or $30, sometimes more!

Please consider the actual volume of the bags. There do not have to be a dozen items in each bag, but do try to purchase items of varying sizes and shapes, so the bags feels full and exciting!

Delegate who will bring what. Here is a list of suggested supplies:

Empty Goody Bags
Pocket toys/games
Pocket note- or sketchpads
Yo-yos
Funky curly straws
Pens, pencils, crayons
Noisemakers

Arrange the materials in assembly fashion. Have fun chatting and stuffing!

When you have completed the goody bags, they may be sent or delivered to one of our warehouses. Please make arrangements for shipping or delivery.

Also, please be sure to include a note with your name and contact information, and the names of your volunteers, so we might thank you properly in our newsletter and with a tax letter.

IMPORTANT: No candy, and no objects that could present a choking hazard to children under 3.

Thank you!
